Old Magnolia Tree Grows in Campbell |
In the yard of Edna Teague Foster grows this old magnolia tree, well-known to Campbell residents for many years.
![]() The tree was planted in 1887 by a Dr. Boyd from Louisiana, to remind him of his Southern roots. Dr. Boyd only stayed a year at his home on North Main Street, but the tree is now over 110 years old. ![]() Christine Landess Beall has told Mrs. Foster that "The branches of this lovely tree, with its glossy green leaves, seem to reach out and lovingly embrace your house."
