On Saturday, June 28, 2003, Wayne Waller drove his modified tiller "Wild Thang," twice breaking his own 2002 world record of 6.23 seconds at the Purplehull Pea Festival and World Championship Rotary Tiller Races in Emerson, Arkansas. Waller's best time was 6.12 seconds on the 200-foot track, averaging 22.28 miles per hour, breaking his own 2003 time of 6.21 seconds.
