1999 Missouri Peach Fair
Blindfold Driver Races

The Peach Fair Blindfold Driver Races were held Wednesday, Aug. 11, in the City Park.

[BLINDFOLD DRIVER RACE]

This wife verbally instructs her blind-folded husband how to drive the course in a golf cart, while Race Organizer Orbalene and Alderman J.L. Parks watch.

No weapons were allowed, and the race organizers assumed no responsibility for resultant marital strife or divorce.

[ON THE COURSE]

The course was laid out with a straight line of spaced traffic cones, and the golf cart had to go between the cones, both out and back. A time penalty was assessed for striking or knocking over a traffic cone.

[1ST PLACE WINNERS]

Danny and Debbie Barnes received the First Place trophy, based upon shortest time. They also received a $50 Savings Bond. In addition, Debbie received a "Blind-fold Driver's License." (Back to Guestbook Entry)
