1999 Missouri Peach Fair Blindfold Driver Races

The Peach Fair Blindfold Driver Races were held Wednesday, Aug. 11, in the City Park.

This wife verbally instructs her blind-folded husband how to drive the course in a golf cart, while Race Organizer Orbalene and Alderman J.L. Parks watch. No weapons were allowed, and the race organizers assumed no responsibility for resultant marital strife or divorce.

The course was laid out with a straight line of spaced traffic cones, and the golf cart had to go between the cones, both out and back. A time penalty was assessed for striking or knocking over a traffic cone.

Danny and Debbie Barnes received the First Place trophy, based upon shortest time. They also received a $50 Savings Bond. In addition, Debbie received a "Blind-fold Driver's License." (Back to Guestbook Entry)
