Cotton Belt Caboose
Old Caboose No. 66
|
Purchased by the city, Cotton Belt caboose No. 66 was placed in front of the Morris-McCutchen Park in July 2000.
The city council reminds Campbell residents that the caboose is a symbol of the birth and heritage of Campbell, founded over 100 years ago because of the railroad line. The caboose is being refurbished and painted, and is hoped to be used as a Visitor's Center for tourists traveling the recently-designated Scenic Byways Route, as well as an office for a new and reorganized Chamber of Commerce. |
